Grass Finished vs. Grain Finished Beef

One aspect of our business that we truly enjoy is talking to all the people interested in cattle and beef. Whether it be prospective customers or current customers, we love to visit with them and answer questions.

Lately, we’ve had a lot of people ask about the differences between grass and grain finished beef. While both types offer a healthy and nutritious source of protein, the biggest difference to the consumer will be found in the taste.

Here are two articles that not only do a great job explaining both types of beef, but do so in a neutral way (not promoting one over the other).  They should be helpful to most anyone with questions:

While RVB features grain finished beef throughout the whole year, we can also provide grass finished beef upon request – but only during the summer and early fall.

We hope you find these articles useful and informative. Leave us a comment or contact us by e-mail if you have more questions.
